God Benefits

Written By: IRoss - May• 20•13

There is so many benefits that God gives us when we accept his will for our life.  The greatest benefit of them all is God forgive us of our sins.  King David said in Psalm 103 verse 3 “Who forgiveth all thine iniquities”.  When we come to God we know we must repent of our sins, and with this confession to God he immediately forgive us.  This is the greatest thing that can happen to man because it automatically assure him eternal life with God.  Eternal life with God is the most important gift that man can receive.  There is two places we are going to end up after this life and that is With God or with the devil.  The only way we can be with God is we confess and forsake our sins and in doing this he gives us eternal life.  The great thing about God also is he is always there when we need him.  In Psalm 103:10 it says “He hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.  If God would judge us after our sins we would all be lost, but he is merciful, gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy toward  us.  Why, because God knows our frame and understands we are only dust.  When we do wrong, or fall all we have to do is confess our sins and forsake it, then his love is there to led us to his perfect will for our lives.  Through the power of God grace, mercy, and love we can live a life that is pleasing to him.  It all start with him forgiving us of our sins.  So if you want to live forever with God confess your sins, ask God to forgive us, and then obey his word, in turn God will give you the greatest gift that man can receive, eternal life with him.

A Virtuous Woman

Written By: IRoss - May• 13•13

Mother day is one of my most wonderful day of the year.  It is a day to honor one of God greatest creation.  When God created the woman he created someone just like him.  You know the love of a mother is heaven sent.  The way a mother care for a child is special.  The words  that a mother gives a child is unique, and is just what  a child need.  But what God looks for from a mother is divine, and it is called a virtuous woman.  The virtuous woman in God eyes is one that her husband can trust.  She is one that will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.  She will submit to him, and trust him as one who is sent by God to lead her in the way of God.  A virtuous woman is one that work willingly with her hands.  She also girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.  She stretcheth out her hand to the poor, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.  She make sure her household is well taken care of.  What makes a virtuous woman is strength and honour are her clothing, and she has no anxiety, because she know her family is well taken care of.  The great thing about the virtuous woman also is when she open her mouth it is filled with wisdom and in her tongue is the law of kindness.  One thing about her also is she look well to the ways of her household and eat not the bread of idleness, because she cares about the well being of the family.  Her children arise up, and call her blessed, her husband also praise her.  Many daughters have done well, but one thing we know is the virtuous woman excellest them all.  Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman that fear the Lord she shall be praised. So let the virtuous woman be praise, for there is no other can be compared to her.

A More Excellent Way

Written By: IRoss - May• 06•13

Paul told the christians at Corinthians to covet earnestly the best gifts from God, but the most excellent gift that any one can have is love.  Excellent means first rate, so love is the number one gift from God that we should covet.  What makes us superior in this world is our ability to love.  To Love like God raises us above all the envy, bitterness, strife, and hate that is in this world.  Paul said in 1 Corinthians 13 chapter  that though we have knowledge, understand all mysteries, and faith to move mountains, and have not love we are nothing.  So without love in our lives we are nothing in God eyes.  The character of love is love suffer long, and is kind, love envieth not, love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up.  Also love do not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.  These are the qualities of love that God wants us to display in our lives.  Love is the more excellent way to live in this life.  Matthew 24:12 says the love of many shall wax cold, and we as christians should not let our love go cold, but walk in a way that the world can see the love of Christ through us.  So let us strive each day to show the love of Christ to any and everyone we meet.  Put away wrath, anger, and evil speaking one to another, and put on the love of Christ that someone may see the true and living God.

Relationship To Others

Written By: IRoss - Apr• 29•13

God has a plan for us in how he wants us to treat one another. It is simple the well known Golden Rule.  Matthew 7:12 says “therefore all things whatsoever ye  would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them”.  That is it how you want to be treated, is how we treat the next person.  This has nothing to do with how  that person treat you.  Even if a person mistreat you, hate you, do evil toward you, you still have to treat them the way you want to be treated.  We think that we are justified in doing evil when someone do evil toward us, the answer is no to that.  The bible tells us to Love our enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and even pray for them that despitefully use you.  So we see there is no way God wants us to do evil to anybody, even our enemies, but to show love to any and everybody.  The way we want to be treated is always the way we treat others.  Jesus was crucified and he still prayed to God to forgive them, Stephen was stoned to death and before he died he prayed to God not to lay this sin to their charge.  Even through the troubles God wants us to always remember the Golden Rule.  I always say it is not how someone treat me that is important, but what is important is my reaction to how I am treated.  I must react in a way that God can be glorified and how God is glorified is to do the Golden Rule, treat people the way I want to be treated.  So remember in your daily life the Golden rule, whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them, then everything will be alright with you.

Praise God

Written By: IRoss - Apr• 22•13

When should we praise God?  The answer is all times.  David said in Psalms 34 chapter verse 1 “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.  So at all times we should praise God.  Through the good days, through the bad days, through out victories, through our defeats, through healing, through our sickness, through life and even through death.  There is no time that we should not praise God.  The reason is because God is always good.  We know that God never changes, he is always the same.  We may go through different things in our life but that do not means God has turn bad, only that we are living in a evil generations and evil reins in this world, so we are going to face evils things.  David wrote this Psalm during some troubles in his life.  Through his trouble he could see that God need to be praise.  He said that praise shall continue be in his mouth.  No matter what came his way David was determine to praise God.  This is the same mind God wants us to have, no matter what comes our way we should  praise God.  The bible also says let the fruit of our lips give thanks unto God.  We know how when Job lost everything the bible said Job fell down rent his mantle and shave his head, but still worshipped the Lord saying “the Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord”.  So when should we praise God, remember all times.  No matter what you go through in life God still deserve the praises, because his is always Good.  So let us praise the Lord.

Given God Praise

Written By: IRoss - Apr• 14•13

Psalm 66 chapter verse one says “Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands.  It is one of God will that we as his people always give him praise. When we arise in the morning his praises should be on our lips.  When we go about our day his praises should be exalted within us.  When come home in the even our lips should bless his name.  Finally when we go to bed another shout of praises should ring unto our God.  You may ask why and the answer is because he is worthy of all the praises.  We cannot praise God enough because all through the day he is always with us, to guide us, and lead us through our troubles.  For in Psalm 96 chapter it says sing unto the Lord because he is great, and he is to be feared above all gods.  There is none to be compared to our God for he is worthy of all the glory and honor.  In Psalm 100 chapter it compels us to offer praises to our God because he is the one that made us and we should always enter his gates with praises.  For we know that the Lord is good and his mercy endure to all generations.  Colossians 3 chapter 16 verse says “in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.  We are to sing from our hearts to the Lord giving thanks through Jesus Christ for all his blessing.  So we see given God praise should be our daily delight, and should never hold back praise to our God for he loves the praises of his people.  So let us give God the praises due unto him each day.

Day Of Trouble

Written By: IRoss - Mar• 31•13

In Psalms chapter 50, verse 15, it says, “And call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee and thou shall glorify Me.” So this verse reminds us that there are days when we will have trouble.  We all know that trouble is nothing good, trouble could be distress, inconvenience, difficulty, annoyance, a physical disease, ailment, etc.  In this life we all are going to face some kind of trouble, no matter who you are.  Jesus said in John  chapter 16,verse 33, “In the world, ye shall have tribulation.” There is no doubt about it, we all going to come across trouble in this life.  Trouble comes by the way of sin.  By sin being in this world, there is no way to escape trouble.  This is a evil world and as long as we have sin in this world, (which will be here until Jesus come), we are going to have to deal with trouble.  But the good thing to know and always remember is when you go through your day of trouble, know that you have an answer for it.  That answer, as you probably already know, is Jesus.  Like in Psalms chapter 50, God said, if we call upon Him in our day of trouble, He will deliver us. Jesus said He will never leave or forsake us.  In Hebrews 4;16, it says, ” Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we  may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need”.  David said in Psalms 34:19, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.”  So yes, we will all face trouble in this life, but know it is not the end of the world. Do not panic, just fall down on your knees, call upon the God you serve, and He will deliver thee.  Then in the end, we may glorify God for helping us.  Amen.

The Great Reward

Written By: IRoss - Mar• 24•13

There is a great reward waiting for all of us if we just do one thing.  That is keep God’s commandments.  In Psalms 19 verse 11, King David said, “In keeping of them (God’s Commandments) there is a great reward.  So, if we obey God’s Word, there is a great reward for us.  We all know, that reward is eternal life.  Romans 6 verse 23 says, ” the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.  I don’t know about you, but I think that is the greatest gift that a man can receive ever.  Being the richest man on earth is not the greatest gift a man can get.  Becoming the president of the United States is not the greatest thing that can happen to man.  You know what the bible says in what profiteth a man to gain the whole world and lost his soul.  Nothing in this world can be compared to receiving eternal life and living forever with God.  Remember, what Jesus said in St. John 14th chapter, Jesus said in my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I  would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  So, we see Jesus have gone to prepare a mansion for us and all we have to do is keep God’s commandments.  Not only is we going to receive a reward but he added something special to it by saying a GREAT Reward.  Now, this should have us all excited knowing what Jesus have prepared for us.  So beloved be encourage to keep God’s commandments.  I know it gets hard some time and you may stubble, just get back up, and keep looking at the prize before you knowing if you just hold on, keep God’s commandments there is a Great Reward waiting on you.

To Be Exalted

Written By: IRoss - Mar• 17•13

Everyone on earth seek to be exalted in their life in someway.  To be honored by someone is special for something that you done is a great feeling.  But God has a way for us to be exalted in the earth and it is simple, which is to do what is right.  In Proverbs 14:34 it says, “Righteousness exalted a nation”.  Meaning if we wanted to be honored, exalted or even thought well of all, we have to do is do what is right.   That may seems strange to some, but in the eyes of God doing right will carry you through this life.  Roman 2:10 says, “But glory, honour, and peace to every man that worketh good”.  This is where God blessings are in doing good things, right things, and following peace with all man.  Notice the scriptures says EVERY MAN, no matter who you are, where you come from, what color you are, all you have to do is what is right and good honor from God is on the way.  One of the greatest temptation we have is when someone do us evil, is to do them evil back.  All men struggle with this because the natural man want to get even, the old saying “an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth”, comes into place.   But, if we want to be exalted on earth be not overcome with evil, but choose to do what is right and see what the blessings of God come your way.  People going to do you wrong, wrong things going to happen to you, because we are living in an evil generation.  But be encourage to know every time you do what is right in God eyes is upon you  and he is going to bless you with glory, honour, and peace.  So let us concentrate on doing what is right in every situation that God in the end will exalt us. Amen

Teach Me To Do Thy Will

Written By: IRoss - Mar• 11•13

In one of David’s Psalms, he asked God to teach him how to do His will.  Now we understand as Christians, that God has a will for all our lives.  But sometimes, we can get confused with what God wills us to do and what our will is in our lives.  Yes, each man has a will in him, and sometimes it gets in the way of God’s will.  So the first thing we should do each day is to ask the Lord to teach us His will.  Remember when Jesus taught his disciples to pray? In the Lord’s prayer was, “thy will be done in earth”.  God is not dumb, nor is He blind to anyone.  God has a plan for every single person on earth.  All we have to do is humble ourselves to God, and do what David did: ask God to teach us His will.  Jesus said in Matthew 11:29, “Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me”. We want to learn what Jesus wants us to do, so when we come upon situations, we will be able to handle them the way God wants us to.  There is God’s way of handling things and there is man’s way of handling things.  We must search for God’s will in all things, that He may be glorified on earth.  We must show others Christ through ourselves, that people may see Him and turn unto Him.  So let us be like David each day, and ask the Lord to teach us to do His will, that He may be glorified in us.
